How long has it been since I posted? I don't even know. What have I been up to? For a while I was canning with my sister and mom. I have a picture of just a portion of the work we did...still a lot. This is my first year canning and it is fun. We did pickles, salsa, plum jam, peach jam, strawberry jam, grape jam, grape jelly, apple sauce, and apple pie filling. And all the food was from our garden or surplus from other gardens...cool. Kim was gone one whole week in Laramie. While he was gone all I did was can. Needless to say, the house was a wreck and it took me a while to recover from that one.
We are now past mid-terms in school. Grades are looking great (proud mama), soccer season is over (whew), and football season is into play-offs. Spencer's team is still undefeated and fun to watch!!!
My sister got a new double-oven stove. Her old one was an electric double-oven stove, but she wanted gas. I am the lucky recipient of her "old" one. There are many times (with a family of eight) that another heat source is a must or dinner delayed. Yay double oven:-)

Many of you know that Kim was in a car accident with a deer last spring and totaled our car. Well, a couple of weeks ago he was driving through the canyon and found himself in the middle of a rock slide. As the dust cleared, in his rear-view mirror he saw a boulder blocking the road...glad he missed that one. All is well.

I'm already down to just 3 jars of pie filling. It's so delicious we want to eat it all the time. Yum!

I never even knew that those double ovens existed! Now I think that I want one! I would need a gas one as well. We don't have room in our kitchen to install a built in double oven.
You sound busy as usual! Aren't we all? Does it ever stop being busy? I know that my mom is just as busy as I am. And all her kids are gone!
