My sweet Grandma passed away on June 6th. She fell and broke her hip. I was sure that would be the end of her. She never really did recover, but she hung on for quite a while...longer than I thought she could. She was almost 92. Her heart was beating strong till the end. I didn't go down to mesquite at the end. I had siblings that went to say their "good-byes". but I was at peace. I am sure I am the one who missed out, but she knew I loved her and I know she loved me...all of us. Two of the grandchildren, Marta and April, came to the aide of our mothers. They jumped in and worked hard and took over nursing responsibilities for my grandma. They were a great support and were "brave" to the end. Thank you for stepping in and helping out. I know you have your own special rewards for your kindness, but THANK YOU.

The funeral was lovely. The flowers were Beautiful. The remarks were thoughtful, sensitive, humerous, touching, spiritual...

Relatives came in from everywhere. I am glad they came. Some came from far away. They didn't need to come, but they cared about my grandma and she was the last of her generation. Not many friends came...at least not from her generation. She was already with them on the other side.

Sorry to hear about your Grandma. I'm glad the funeral was nice and you were able to find peace with her passing.

I wish I could have visited with you more. I was kinda out of it on Saturday and it wasn't until that evening that I wished I had made more of an effort to get over and visit with you and Shannan. It was nice to see you and you your family.
