Life continues to be busy. My days just blend into each other. Spencer had a birthday on October 24th. We celebrated with cupcakes in the shape of a football (creative I know). He got to go pick our a new shiny red bike. I now have another teenager in the house...though we have had the attitude for a while.
This week we had Kim's birthday on Tuesday. I thought we were celebrating on Monday, but he didn't come home (he had an appointment). On his birthday we had his birthday lunch at Tucanos, yummy, but he had an appointment in the evening to the kids didn't get to see him.
Tonight is Spencer's championship football game. They are undefeated and should win this one. Kim will take tonight off to support Spencer so after the game we will do a little celebrating...both birthday and post-game!!!
In Young Women we are getting ready for our Young Women in Excellence program. I have been coordinating the program and helping a few young women with their projects. We are also memorizing The Living Christ for this program. It is a lot of work and I am trying to do my part. I am probably only half way there, but a beautiful testimony and worth the effort!
Today we have Spencer's Student Led Conference. He is doing SOOO well so I am not nervous to face his teachers. We have had a little trouble with the bus driver, but hopefully they have resolved their differences.
Mandy comes home in three weeks. We have really missed her! She is having great experiences being a camp counselor in Maine and wants to go back for the next session. We will see. She may have a brother or two join her. Jared went to visit a couple of weeks ago and had a fun week hanging out with her and her friends.
Halloween was fun! Sara wanted to be Peter Pan's Wendy. We made her a sparkley night gown with a big bow. She wore her silver slippers and we sprinkles pixie dust in her hair. BEAUTIFUL.
The boys were various things during the festivities, but most of all they had fun.
